This Saturday Town are once again on their travels as they visit last seasons treble winners Carlton Athletic .

Last seasons champions, by their own incredibly high standards have had a slow start to this years campaign winning two and losing four of their opening six games. However their most recent fixture saw them win 4-2 away at Field which they will hope really kickstarts their season.

Town come into this game after a fine win over Hall Green United. Manager Simon Armstrong had this to say;

'It was important we reacted positively with a good performance and three points. Unfortunately poor concentration and a mistake has seen us miss out on a clean sheet. For us to improve and really compete at the top end of the table we have to find a way to be better in these areas. Carlton are the title holders and beat Field in their own backyard recently so we're under no illusions how difficult the game will be. Carlton in the last three years have been one of the best amateur teams in the country and this game provides an opportunity to prove we can compete at that level.'
