This Saturday Town are on their travels as they visit local rivals Headingley AFC.

After a good win on the opening day of the season Headingley have suffered defeats against Beeston and Huddersfield Amatuers losing out on both occasions by the odd goal. With the addition of ten new signings Headingley have strengthened in numerous areas as they look to improve on last season.

Town come into this game unbeaten after a draw against Beeston last time out. Manager Simon Armstrong had this to say;

'Overall the Beeston result seemed fair in what was a well contested game. In hindsight however I feel we missed a real opportunity on the day and although we worked incredibly hard and competed extremely well we fell short of our standards a little when we had possession. The pitch at Weetwood is a wonderful surface to play on so it's important we improve in that area next week. Headingley are a very good footballing side who have made a number of new signings as they look to improve so we expect a really tough challenge on the day'.
