This Saturday Town begin their County Cup campaign with a home tie against St. Bedes.

St. Bedes play in the Yorkshire Amateur League Premier Division and have won two out of their opening three league fixtures leaving them in the top half of the table.

Town come into this game after a postitive result at home to Sherburn last time out. Manager Simon Armstrong had this to say;

'We asked for a response and a positive result, the players delivered that, though I think we'd all agree that we can play better. We know very little about St. Bedes so it's a case of preparing well in training and making sure we play our game on the day. We have number of players unavailable for this game so it presents a real opportunity to utilise our squad and challenge those players to stake a claim for a first team place. '
