This Saturday Town make the trip to Rawdon for a New Year local derby.

Rawdon are currently locked in mid table after an impressive start to life in the Premier Division. At home they're a strong propisition and will be looking to return to winning ways after last weeks away defeat at Whitkirk. Earlier in the season Town defeated them 3-1 at Ben Rhydding but it could have been very different if it wasn't for a stunning save by James Hirst early in the game.

Town come into this game after a scrappy performance and a 1-0 win over Headingley. Manager Simon Armstrong had this to say;

'The Headingley game was a poor performance but a great result. Saturdays game against Rawdon will be a different kind of challenge, local derbies always are. It will be competitive and tough with a high intensity. It's up to us to ensure we're prepared and ready for the challenge.'
