It was semi final day in the scotty Rd leaugue for the roma boys today. We were pitted against are bogey team townsey columbia, who have a voodoo curse over us the last few games. Was today gonna be the same ?

The game started in a frustrating familiar fashion as the lads started slowly again ! Which is strange as the coach gave a world class warm up / team talk ( you guessed it, coach is doing report this week?) before we knew it 2-0 down to a great finish & free kick from townsey, the boys led by captain kellan took a deep breath & reset. Kellan & caleb started getting there tackles in & playing the ball forward to the tireless mitch & Ellis, caleb,mitch & Ellis all had chances saved by the excellent townsey keeper , the boys were back in the game ! Exhausted Ellis came off for a well earned break so otis came on & did not dissappoint with superb work rate, passing & also tested the keeper.

A couple of min before half time we earned a free kick in the townsey half, caleb stepped up ,composed himself by shouting to me ' dad am gonna have a shot'? BANG 2-1GAME ON HALF TIME

2nd half started and can only be described as a roma onslaught began . Led by Harry 'the steam roller '& captain kellan pulling the stings .Harry & Ellis began to press hard,constant runs & shots paid of or Harry with a goal to make it 2-2 COMMNEE ONNNN!!! All the ads were bang at it now, again Ellis 'the kid' Williams needed a break & mitch stepped in to carry the fight to townsey. A goal line scramble after a shot from mitch & Harry on hand to tap in for 3-2 . Insane pressure form the boys lead to goal of the game,another powerful run from Harry & a rocket into the top corner secured the match for roma & motm for Harry 4-2

The constant pressure from the lads left us open to counter attacks,but lucky for us we have the best sweeper keeper in the leaugue as markus bravely stopped these attacks. With the in mind the 'super coach'( sorry , not sorry)brought on the the hard men of the team georgie & lucas , who produced several bone cruching tackles that let townsey know the day belong to roma , onwards to the final,great stuff. Special mention to all roma teams winning semi finals ?
