After a few recent defeats all eyes were on Roma U9s to change their fortunes against a solid SCM Blues side sitting a place above them in the league and in good form.
After a cagey opening where both teams prodded and probed it was a bolshy Kaden who opened the scoring with a well taken goal in the box. After the half time whistle SCM battled back with a goal to level 1-1. It was the heroics of Harry to bag a second with excellent pressure from Kaden to win the ball back. The game continued to be cagey when super sub Tinashe was introduced and making an instant impact he touched in a superb pass from Ryan into the net to make it 3-1. Tinashe not quite satisfied with one goal proceeded to terrorise the opposition defence and take his second of the game with ease. Kaden stepped up for his second putting the game to bed after a great assist from JP. SCM managed to get a consolation ending the game at 5-2 to Roma.
This was a superb team effort with manager Andy naming Tinashe Man of the Match and the team getting a massive cheer from the Roma parents.
The Roma boys are back and roaring their way up the table.
